Garage Rock Classics: Gloria, Part II
OK, here's the Big Kahuna of 60's rock, the song that blasted out of garages coast to coast and beyond, Van Morrison's Gloria. Gloria is probably second only to Hey Joe in number of cover versions. In a previous post, we offered four. Here are six more: The original by Them, contemporary versions by The Illusions, Yesterday's Children, and The Outcasts, an R&B treatment from Sir Mack Rice, and, as a special added treat, a Spanish version by Mexico's Los Rockin Devil's.
