What's It All About, Gene Simmons?

Here's a little oddity that I picked up in a stack of radio station promos. It's an "interview" with Gene Simmons, circa 1979. Simmons and Paul Stanley do the intro (over "I Wanna Rock And Roll All Night"), followed by announcer Bill Huie discussing the band's persona. Muddy audio clips of Simmons are indispersed with Huie's commentaries. At the end (over "I Was Made For Loving You") Bill injects a thinly veiled religious speech about "what's behind the mask." Huie apparently made a bunch of these discs for the Presbyterian Church Public Service.

I get the feeling that Paul and Jumpin' Gene were unaware of the church connection.

And that's what it's all about.

What's It All About

Wow, that's funny — I wish you had the Devo one too!
